Is it possible and/or has anyone ever integrated flash for data storage on a PXI-8174. We are worried about excesive G-forces while running in a vehicle.

I need to be able to log data in a truck that I will be monitoring using CAN.

So....

the critical components are;

High G-Forces
CAN
LabVIEW
Data logging

ANy ideas or suggestions that will let tackle all of these would be welcome. Are any solid sate disks I can get into a PXI system?

Works just fine. Only thing is that the 8174 does not have LabVIEW Real-Time support, so you'll have to either buy a very large drive for Windows, or a smaller drive with some other embedded OS.

NOAA also used an 8174 with a solid-state drive (1 GB E-Disk drive from BitMicro running Windows 98 custom installation) for altitude qualification testing:

THis mkes the differenece in me being able to sell another PXI crate.
