Hi,
is there a list of warm-up times available for different PXI devices?
The devices specifications of the specific cards give recommended warm up times (e.g. 30min for PXI-4130, 60 min for PXI-4070, 15min for PXI-6259 for Calibration), but since we are using many different PXI cards it would be great for me to have those informations in one place.
The same belongs for operating temperatures.

Hi TT,
Im sorry to inform you, that unfortunately such a list seems not to be available from NI.

Thanks for the info. I think it would be great to have such a list in the future, so maybe you can think about creating it 😉

Is this information not available in the NI user's manual for each module you are using for you to compile your own list?!?

Yes, as I wrote in my first post it is available in the documentation of each module (at least in some that I checked so far) and so I can create my own list as you suggest. But as I said we are using many different PXI cards and so I wanted to know whether such an overview is available to save me the work to search through all the documentations.

Warm up times can vary 🙂 Target should be to meet a stable temperature in the PXI system and have it self calibrated at this temp.
If It is in a 19" rack , close to heat source (power amplifier) ??
To get a better feeling of you PXI system:
Most PXI devices have internal temperature sensors you can read with a property node.
Do a 2h log of these temperatures after power up.
Read the temperature values of the last self calibrations too 😉 if they differ to much (we use 2K) and the system is up for more than 2h propose a self calibration.
