Dear All,
Based on my requirement i wanted to use 8 modules of NI PXI-6238. I thought to use 9-slot chassis with Processor and 8 modules of NI-PXI-6238, However, the PXI Advisor did not allow me to insert 8 modules of the above type (Reason unknown).
But i continued the design selecting 14 slot chassis with 8 modules of NI PXI-6238 and processor. With this design almost 5 slots remain unoccupied.
To optimize the design, is it possible to select 2 (6-slot chassis) connected for extension, in order to place the remaining 3 modules of NI PXI-6238 in the second 6-slot chassis. Please advice as i am new to designing systems with PXI.
Is this configuration possible ?? and does the second chassis also needs to be equipped with Processor ??
