Measuring of SI-diodes

I need help for a solution of measuring Si-diodes.My Hardware are PXI-1000B, PXI-6070E, also PCI 6023.
Exists there an ".vi, witch i can use (an existing multimeter) or something else? i have try "NI 40xx Digital Multimeter.vi, but it doesn't work ?
thank you

Hello,

The 6070E, 6023E and 60324E are data acquisition boards from the same family, so they have very similar architecture. The 6070E has a higher sampling rate than the other two.

The example program that you were trying to use, "NI 40xx Digital Multimeter.vi", is intended to be used with NI DMMs. You might be interested in getting one of these boards to make your diode measurements. If you need to make a lot of measurements, you can always use DMMs with Switches, and control via software the connections that you want to make. The following tutorial explains in more detail how you can use DMMs and Switches to optimize your measurement application:
Tutorial: Optimizing System Throughput with the NI PXI-4070 6-Digit FlexDMM

The connections of diodes to NI DMMs are very simple. The image linked below is taken from the NI Digital Multimeters Help (NI 4050/4060/4070 User Manual). As stated in this document, the "NI 4070 can excite a DUT with a constant current source and read the resulting voltage drop using a 10 V DC range. Diode mode is useful for testing p-n junctions, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and zener diodes. The default current excitation is 1 mA and a voltage up to 4.5 V can be measured with this setting. You can also set the current source to 1 uA, 10 uA or 100 uA, in which case the voltage up to 10 V can be measured."

Hope this helps,
