Modules not populating in LabView

Good Afternoon,

I am currently getting a PXI system set up and I have been running into some small issues. I downloaded and installed all of the drivers for the PXIe-4080 and the PXIe-4112 devices that I am using. They equipment shows in NI MAX, device manager, and the devices show up when I go into device manager. When I attempt to program the devices in LABView, I get the error: error -1074130544 occurred at niDMM Configure Measurement Digits.vi (when I try to use the DMM, I get something similar when I try to use the PXIe-4112). I tried repairing the software through the NI Package Manager and the error still appears.

I also attempted to use the examples found by going through Help -> Find Examples -> Hardware Input and Output.

any help would be helpful,

Dan

I could see all the instruments populated under NI MAX, so that is not an issue.

NI instrument driver finder is for third party instruments connected over VISA (USB/SERIAL/GPIB/LXI).

Hi Dan,

Is the error you are facing the same as the one addressed in this article on error -1074130544? If it is, I suggest trying the troubleshooting steps suggested there and, once you have tried, let me know the outcomes.

Kind regards,

Sorry for the late response. I followed the article you provided and was still receiving the error. It turns out the issue was due to our companies IT software interfering with how LabView was communicating with the modules. It it now working.

Thank You,

Dan
