I have a PXIe-1082 chassis with a PXIe-8135RT controller. I also have a large piece of IP designed for vxWorks (Intel or PPC) which I would like to embed into this chassis. Since the RT controller is PharLap based, that IP cannot run on the controller. So, is there a way to have a second 'slave' CPU running in the chassis based on vxWorks with some form of direct memory or ethernet interface to the RT LabView controller?
If this can be done, what CPU boards (Of recent vintage) would be compatible?
Thanks,
Robert

If you are using LabVIEW, you could update all the vxWorks I/O references manually. Not sure if some sort of slave CPU could be implemented.
