Hello,
My computer is connected to a PXIe-8381 (on a PXIe-1085 chassis) through a PCIe-8381 and its pertinent cable. Our application was not able to work until we allowed NI-MAX to be enabled by Windows Firewall.
My question is, why should we enable NI-Max as a Firewall exception if there are no TCP/UDP ethernet connections coming out of it? Or is there something else that happens when I enable NI-Max on the firewall?

I have just discovered that enabling Firewall was not a factor in making my application work.
After disabling NI-MAX firewall rule, the application was still able to run.
