We have six PXIe-1085 chassis with different combinations of red blinking or solid lights. All are using known-good PXIe-8381 controller cards and various other kown-good cards (all tested in other working Chassis. No cards have been hot-swapped. I can't find clear documentation in any user manual for troubleshooting or breaking down each different combination of red lights.
All six have PWR/LINK red light blinking on the 8381 controller card.
Below is the list of each one:
1. all 3 lights blinking in sync (temp/fan/power)
2. 2 lights blinking red in sync (temp/fan)
3. 2 lights blinking red in sync (temp/fan)
4. no lights on chassis (only red blinking PWR/LINK on controller card)
5. 1 solid red power light (This is a known bad power supply. Swapped from another chassis. It fixed other chassis, this one carries the bad PS from other one)
6. 1 solid red power light
