NI PXIe-ExpressCard8360

When I power up my pc with the cable MXI connected between the computer's PCIe-8360 and the PXIe-8360 (with PXI chassis already booted) the PC hangs.   I have never used this PC before, so I am wondering about BIOS settings that could be preventing it from working?  What other troubleshooting steps can I take?
