NI Tool for PXIe Chassis 'Checkout'?

Background:

We run a wind tunnel facility with a bunch of PXIe chassis for gathering data.

I have now had 2 of the chassis in the various locations go bad with different failures that showed up as we were deployment testing software.

One had a slot go bad and not recognize cards - worked one day and then didnt the next.

Another had a bad (speculating) connection to the backplane from the controller as lsni would not show PXIChassis(n) - it only showed PXI0::1::BACKPLANE and the System Configuration code reported that when I did a query on ni-pxi as the "expert" in the filter, that the expert was not installed.  All of the chassis are running the same image, so I know that wasn't true.  Swapping controllers between systems showed that the controller wasn't the issue.    We replaced this 1082 with another and the code and system are working properly.  Interestingly the DAQmx driver could recognize the PXI# and the individual "instrument" code I wrote could programmatically build the proper DAQmx physical channel names using the PXI# from that discovery.

Question:

These incidents have me wondering if NI has a software tool for checking the "health" of a PXIe system if it has an MXI or actual controller in the chassis to allow connection?

We do have ni-hwcfg-utility available - and we did notice that it didn't show the proper chassis number there.  Maybe running this is our best 1st test.
