A customer of our PCI card with VISA driver reported that the Device Location section in MAX only shows "Unknown" values. This is also the case when I place our card in a NI PXI-1033 bridge. This is caused by wrong PCI locations in the c:\Windows\pxisys.ini file; the PCIBus/Device fields do not match the location of the card plugged into it.
The starTrigger also appeared to be configured on slot1 rather than slot2, in the C:\Program Files\National Instruments\PXI\Hardware Descriptions\Chassis\National Instruments PXI-1033.ini file. I tried to fix this file but it did not work.
The same problem exists on the real-time target.
How can it be possible that there are different PCI locations and what can I and my customer do to fix it?
