PXI-1031 Chassis not powering on

Hardware Details:

PXI-1031 Chassis

PXI-8176 Controller running Labview RT

NI-7332 Motion Controller

NI-6230 Data acquisition board

North Atlantic cPCI board

Dell laptop running windows XP, Labview 8.5, connected via ethernet through router.

Several weeks ago I had this hardware working fine, minus the motion controller.  Today, I got the motion controller in and plugged it into the chassis, following the instructions.  When I went to turn on the PXI box, I got nothing, no lights, no fan, no noise.  Checked my power cable, connections, etc.  Unplugged the cards, still nothing.

Seems to me like the power supply took a dive.  I was just wondering if there is a quick way check if it truly is the power supply or if I may have deeper problems.

Thank you

Hi JJerred

If you look behind the card in the final slot, do you see any LEDs lit on the back plane?

If you are seeing no lights and no fan, a bad power supply is the likely culprits. You can call us at 1-866-ASK-MYNI, for further trouble shooting / arranging to have it fixed.
