PXI-4496 and DC-coupling

Hello,

I typically use my PXI-4496 for ICP load cells. However I was experiencing problems reading both a laser displacement sensor (analog output) and 3 load cells with my SCB-68 and PXIe6341, so I tried plugging in my laser displacement sensor into the PXI-4496, hoping that I could change the coupling to DC.

However MAX prohibits me from changing the coupling for that channel (in "Test Panels") to DC. Is this an unchangeable property of the card?

Also, if anyone can help with my initial problem (for some reason my load cell readings go wonky when I plug in my laser), see this thread: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/PXIe-6341-and-SCB-68-problem-with-multiple-inputs-URGENT/t...

Thank you!

If you take a look at the first page of the specifications that can be found here, the 4496 can only be AC coupled. To be able to choose AC and DC coupling on a channel by channel basis, you would need a  4492, 4497, or 4499.

Cheers
