PXI-8156 RAM problem

When I increase my RAM from 64 to 128Mb, it causes my software to crash frequently. This occurs in all software including Labview and Microsoft. I purchased the RAM from Unigen, one of your recommended sources. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hello,

I believe we have been working with your sales representative on this. In short, there could be many reasons for this. I'm not sure if you are working with one 128 MB module or two 64 MB modules, but we have only tested this controller with 64 MB modules. In addition, though Unigen is the RAM we used to sell, compatibility can even vary due to the revision of the RAM module. Though we no longer sell these RAM modules, we had done testing at the time with the RAM modules supplied to us to make sure the ones we provided were compatible, and these are what we know will work. So it's possible that RAM is still good, although not compatible with the controller or perhaps just when another RAM module is present. If you can find a module that was actually sold
by NI, that is the best chance.
