Hi,
I need to use a PXI which have a PXI-1052 chassi, the controller is the PXI-8184, and also have linked some devices, like PXI-4462 and PXI-6722.
The software installed in the controlled is the Real-Time of Labview version 7.1. The problem is the fact that program isn't RT and was made in labview 2010.
I'm thinking connect the PXI-8184 to my computer which have the Labview 2010 by ethernet. Is this a good ideia? Another problem, is the fact that the computer don't recognize the PXI.
Is the first time I use a PXI and by now I don't understand this.
Thanks for your help,
Sílvia

Hi,
And thank you for posting here.
You start up your pxi with Winodows. You can install LabVIEW 2010 or LabVIEW run time 2010. Then your run your program.

Hi,
I tried install the labview run-time engine 2010 in a computer that have remote access to this PXI, but when I run the program some errors appear:
"An error occurred loading VI 'DAQmx Create AI Channel (sub).vi' Labview load error code 3: Could not load front panel."
"... 'Get Terminal Name with Device Prefix.vi'..."
It's the reason why I was thinking connect my PC to the PXI...
Best regards,

Hi,
I don’t understand why you don’t run your application on your PXI. I could start your PXI on windows and do not use another computer.

Hi,
Thanks for your help, unfortunately they don't let me update the software to the Labview 2010.
Now they're thinking of buying a new PXI. What do you recommend?
From what I read the PXIe are better than PXI, is this true?
Thanks,
Sílvia
