We currently run with the PXIe-1078 chassis and a PXIe-8820 controller. This controller is only compatible with Pharlab OS.
Pharlab OS was discontinued in 2021. In order to go to Windows 11 we need to upgrade to LabVIEW/VeriStand 2022 or higher.
Which means we need to change the controller to run with a different Real-time OS that is compatible with LabVIEW/VeriStand 2022 or higher.
I am planning to go for PXIe-8821 which can run on Linux Real-time 20 OS. What other consideration should I make to make sure the transition will be succesful?
I check the other cards in the system and they are all compatabile with the Linux OS

You have covered pretty much everything.
