PXI to PXIe Chassis Help

Hello
I need help configuring a system for our latest test system. We have been using the same system (more or less) for the last 20-25 years, but it has been a few years and I think these systems may no longer be supported by NI.

FYI, we are currently using LabWindows CVI v.2014 (for various compatibility reasons).

Below, I have listed a breakdown (also attached) of our typical PXI chassis configuration. Can you recommend the best approach or if this system is still available for purchase?

Part No Qty Description
779632-01 1 NI PXI-6259, M Series DAQ (32 Analog Inputs, 48 Digital I/O, 4 Analog Outputs) with NI-DAQmx driver software.
192061-02 1 Shielded Cable, SHC68-68-EPM, 68 D-Type to 68 VHDCI Offset, 2 meter
192061-02 1 Shielded Cable, SHC68-68-EPM, 68 D-Type to 68 VHDCI Offset, 2 meter
778858-01 1 NI PXI-6509 Industrial 96-Channel 5V/TTL/CMOS Digital I/O Module and NI-DAQ
185095-02 1 Cable Assembly, Type SH100-100-Flex, 2 meters
777557-01 1 NI PXI-6602 Counter/Timer Module and NI-DAQ for Win2000/NT/9x/MAC with eight 32-bit counters. Kit includes NI-DAQ driver software for Windows and MAC on CD
183432-02 1 Shielded Cable, SH68-68-D1, 2 meters
778636-01 1 NI PXI-1042 8-Slot 3U Chassis with Universal AC Power Supply
960903-02 1 PXI-8 Slot Factory Installation Service and Extended Warranty
763000-01 1 Power Cord, AC, U.S., 120 VAC
779505-03 1 NI PXI-PCle8361, MXI-Express, 1 Port PCle, 3 m Cable

All of this gets connected to a Windows workstation via the PCIe card interface, which we purchase separately.

Thank you in advance.

Note:
  1. The minimum software version is based on NI Hardware and Software Operating System Compatibility. The table may exclude software versions older than 21.3; support may have been available earlier. Historically, NI drivers have 4 years backward compatibility to the development software. For example for NI-DAQmx 19.1, at least LabWindows/CVI 2016 is required.
  2. To be used with desktop.
  3. To be used to Thunderbolt ports that are integrated on system motherboards. See Connect PXIe Systems With Thunderbolt™ Interface Cards

Thank you for the recommendations.

As this solution requires migrating all of our typical PXI card selections to PXIe, what will that do to our existing LabWindows CVI programming?

Time-wise, I don't think we can afford to rewrite All of the existing code. Any experience with this type of migration?

As it relates, what is the outlook for LabWindows CVI? I noticed that the only version that officially supports Win11is 2020. But that was 5 years ago! Will LabWindows live on or is it being deprecated?

That has been a giant question to NI for a long time with no clear response. NI claims it is continuing to support it, but the lack of releases say otherwise. Personally, I would not be confident in LabWindows/CVI being around.

If DAQmx was used, very little changes to your code. Likely, it will just be redoing your MAX configuration.
