PXIe-1073 connectivity

Hi,

My team has recently inherited a PXIe-1073 chassis. The system has an internal controller and communicates to a computer via MXI Express. Our lab generally controls equipment over ethernet so I was wondering if anyone has achieved this and how? (other than using a proxy computer). Can the ethernet modules, such as PXIe-8238, be used to control the system, or are they just for communication with peripherals?

Hi Matthims,

To use the 1073, you'll need a computer hooked up to via MXI Express. The 8238 is just a peripheral ethernet module and doesn't have the ability to control the chassis or the other modules.
