PXIe-1088 Mounting Vertically

Can the PXIe-1088 mounted in the vertical orientation. I can't find anything in the documentation dictating horizontal mounting requirements.

I don't see a reason why mounting orientation would matter for the PXIe chassis or any instrumentation, everything is solid state (fans don't matter).

My biggest questions was around if the forced airflow was accounting on a horizontal orientation and if the operation shock/vibration spec was only rated in specific orientations. The datasheet doesn't specially call it out either way.

If those are critical concerns for your application, it is best to reach out to NI Tech support for an official answer. Since there is no warning about mounting in other orientations, I would assume the specifications apply irrespective of the orientation.

We reached out to NI and they said there should be no issues if we maintain the proper clearances.
