We have some PXIe-5110s utilizing CableSense in our automated test fixtures.
One fixture intermittently reports a low amplitude reflection. All waveform features are identical to normal operation but scale down to 40% of a normal reading.
The PXI has been substituted giving the same results. The cables have been substituted giving the same results. Opening the cabinet to service the instrument consistently brings the reading back to .2V looking into the 50 Ohm cable. But after running a few hours the signal rests at .125 volts.
Since we see no difference in the reflection, except the magnitude, I'm suspecting the equipment is overheating.
Has anyone experienced this?
