I am using a PXIe-5745 AWG and am just trying to get it to output a 20kHz sine wave. I am new to programming in LabVIEW FPGA and have not used a FlexRIO device before. I used the Help and an example project was automatically generated for me, which I have attached. I am using "Basic.vi" as the host VI.
When I try to change the frequency (on the Basic.vi front panel) of the AO to 20kHz, the signal generated is still in the Mega hertz range. I tried to just add a loop timer to the FPGA loop (so that I can change the frequency) that outputs the waveform but it is a single cycle timed loop and that isn't allowed. I also tried adjusting the sample rate and # of samples but that still did not work.
I tried reading through the FlexRIO documentation but I am still not clear on how the FLEXRIO triggering and Stream Vis work conceptually.
Hopefully this is something simple. My ultimate goal is to simply have UI that I can use to output a 20kHz sine wave and be able to change the amplitude and frequency.
