We have been investigating a timing jitter issue with our PXIe-8822 controller and I noticed something strange about how CPU loading is being reported.
I have the "RT Get CPU loads" in one of the loops on the real-time controller. The connected indicator consistently shows total CPU loading in the teens to mid-20 percent for all four cores.
Today, while testing, I checked the system resources for the PXIe-8822 in MAX and it shows CPU loads as high as 100% for some cores.
Which one should I believe? If the numbers shown in the System Resources on MAX are to be accurate, I need to make some pretty dramatic code modifications to try and get CPU utilization down. Any ideas on why I might get such different answers between the two?
