Hello,
It is my understanding that reed relays in the PXI-2530b are field replaceable.
Can they be replaced with reeds with enhanced characteristices? Lower contact impedance, higher current, same or lower ON current draw etc. In other words, are these Over The Counter / Off The Shelf reeds or custom reeds produced by NI with non-standard pin-outs?
We use this card in independent mode and there really isn't another switch matrix that suits our needs as we have partitioned it into 3 matrices. That said, the contact resistance @ 2 ohms typical is a bit high. < 0.5 ohms would be better. But if I can replace the reeds with higher performance ones without increasing the relay current draw, that would be a possible solution.

Hello John,
We only recommended replacing the reed relays of the PXI 2530B with Coto 9012-05-11 relays. No other relays have been tested in the system and a reed relay with different specs may or may not cause damage to the module. All of the information we provide on replacing the relays of the PXI 2530B can be found in the NI Switches help document. You can search the help document for ‘replace reed 2530b’ to find the article on replacement.
We do have some PXI reed switches with 1 Ohm path resistance as well.
