RT Pxi can't connect to desktop pc

Hello.
 
When i connect PXI with the Ethernet cable to my desktop computer, my desktop can't
recognise PXI and connection is continues to be "UNPLUGED".
 
How can I solve this?

Hey Batka_V,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments with your issue. Could you be a little more specific as to how you are configuring your system and what you want to do with it? It sounds like you have a PXI module, do you have a name and/or model number, that you wish to connect to your PC via ethernet. When you say that your PC doesn't recognise it, do you mean that it is unable to associate a driver to it or does it throw an error when initializing. If you could answer these questions, I will do my best to get you and your system up and running.

Pardon my seeming curiosity, but is a "crossover" interconnect cable necessary for this computer-to-computer connection?

From what I believe his configuration is, I would say that a cross over cable will be required to communicate. As I mentioned before though, I'm not 100% sure if he's connecting it ethernet port to ethernet port.
