Recommendation for addition NIC?

We're working on coming up with creative ways to utilize our new PXI chassis and I wonder if anyone can help me with a hopefully simple system setup question?

We're setting up virtual network segments to work with the PXI and other equipment so we can both generate/ingest data, but also programmatically control the LabVIEW application.  We envision a setup where we would interact with a running LabVIEW VI using the built-in Ethernet NIC on the PXI-8110 via RDP, but we'd also like to transmit data generated by the VI to another network subnet to feed downstream applications, etc.  I wonder if anyone could recommend an additional NIC that we could add to our PXI?  It would not have to be of industrial strength or have any other special properties, just a simple second NIC to utilize with the PXI-8110 to allow us to dedicate it to data transmission.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Airplane Nut,

I hope you are doing well today!  If you are looking for a module that simply adds an ethernet interface to your current PXI Chassis, I have attached a link below to the NI PXI-8231 Gigabit Ethernet Interface.  I have also attached an NI Developer Zone article that discusses the topic of using multiple network interfaces within one system.  There are a number of things to take into account and consider when designing such a system, and this tutorial helps address these concerns.  I hope this helps!  Have a great day!
