I have a PXI-8119 that shipped with a Windows 7 recovery disk.
First, I would like to thank NI for still shipping out recovery DVDs. Many manufaturers are insisting that you perform other tasks such as running a "recovery wizard" or perform a download of the image that can only be downloaded to the device it's meant for thus you need to have a network connection to the device.
To use the recovery disk I need to have a usb dvd drive. A usb DVD drive is much more rare to have laying around the lab verses a usb thumb drive.
Does NI have a utility that would convert the supplied bootable DVD disk to a bootable USB drive?
Of course I can do this myself by downloading several utilities out there, but the paperwork to get these "free" tools approved for use can be very cumbersome. I would much rather use a tool from NI where we already have a service agreement and licenses approved.
Or does NI offer the ability to use a tool such as the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool.
I would be ok with downloading an ISO image if it meant creating an easy bootable USB drive.

Hi MrQuestion,
Do you have acronis on your system? Because you can run this to do the same thing the recovery DVD would do. See the following link:
