We are currently having the PXIe-1082 Chassis unit by NI and we are planning to use it along with a LabVIEW code to automate the blower speed control in our wind tunnel.

The objective is to change the speed of the blower via the LabVIEW code and NI DAQ using a controller or maybe without a controller.

I would like to know what different controllers would be compatible with this NI unit.

In general, there is no limitation on the controller compatibility with the Chassis. In your case, any PXIe controller is compatible. You can try the various option by going through the PXI advisor.
