Scheduler for DAQ...

Hi All!

Is there reference design or samples of the scheduler for data acquisition? I need to start and stop data acquisition at specific time.

poklad,

Could you provide a little more information about your hardware and your application? It might be possible to generate a trigger pulse when the system time gets to a certain point, however the most accurate future time trigger is going to require a timing card. A little more information will allow myself and others to make better suggestions.

Hi!

Thank you for answer!

I have 1036DC and 6653 in slot 2 (using for PXI_CLK10 disciplining), 6682 in slot 3. DAQ card are 4462 and 6143. As I understand, the best way is to use start pulse from 6653 through PXI_Star. Is it true? But may be use front of PPS pulse from 6682 because start time accuracy will be up to 1 sec?

poklad,

I've included a link to an article on the NI website. It talks about the use of the NI-Sync driver to synchronize DAQ devices. As for triggering a future event, I suggest looking into the Future Time Event capability of the 6682 GPS device you have. This will allow you to specify a future time for an event trigger.
