Transporting PXI rack in Pelican Case with foam. Is ESD and issue?

Hi,

I have a PXIe-1082 chassis, with an PXIe-8108 embedded controller which controls a PXIe-6363 (X Series DAQ multi-IO), PXI-4071 (DMM),  PXI-2530b switch matrix,  PXI-4110 (power supply).

I need to transport this guy on a regular basis.   I think the pelican line of cases (www.pelican.com) are quite suitable.  My question is in regard to the foam.   The default foam provided is not conductive and so ESD is not prevented.   Will the NI system described handle this, or do I need to protect the whole unit from ESD?   What have others done?

The picture shows the chassis (with all the cards on the left) the other pockets are for adapters and cabling

Hello,

As long as you discharge the static electricity by touching any metal part as per the guide below, you should not encounter problems.
