Uninstalling NI-PAL 1.6.4f0 Engine

I am having trouble uninstalling NI-PAL 1.6.4f0 Engine under Windows XP. XP reports that "the feature you are trying to use is on a CD rom or other removable disk that is not available".
A flie called PalSetup.msi seems to be required but is not on my installation discs.

Somewhere, palSetup.msi must be on one of the installation discs. Is it possible that someone else installed some NI software on the machine? If you could tell me what NI software you have installed (i.e. NI-DAQ 6.9.3, or LabVIEW 6.1) then I will be able to help you better. Also, how did you come to uninstall NI-PAL? Were you uninstalling some NI software?

Why are you trying to manually uninstall NI-PAL? NI-PAL is an intermediate level used by all of our drivers. It is installed when you install any driver and is uninstalled when you remove all NI drivers. It is necessary for successful driver operation, which is why you are unable to remove it manually.
