Hi all
Is there any possibility to use PXI based embedded controller card with PXIe chassis using some adaptor/converter?
Thanks

It is not possible. The PCI-E interface and the PCI interface are not compatible with each other. Reference: PCI vs PCIe: What's the Difference and How to Distinguish Them?
You can use a PXI module in a hybrid slot because it has PCIe-to-PCI bridges. The controller slot in a PXIe chassis only accepts a PXIe controller.

Logically, why would you want to run a latest generation Chassis and instruments with a last generation controller (computer) with obsolete CPU, RAM and HDD?

Hi
Actually we have a PXI Controller in our store and we want to utilise it.
1. Can you recommend any PXI based Chassis still available from NI?
2. Can we use PXI controller in cPCI chassis (e.g. from Adlinktech)?. I read somewhere that both are compatible with minor differences.
Thanks

What PXI controller model do you have? Does it have a reasonable processor and RAM to run any recent software, at least Windows 10?
As per this knowledge base article - you can use a PXI controller in a cPCI chassis.
