The 8176 controller uses a super IO chip which generates baud rates equal to 115.2k / n where n is an integer. So 115.2k, 57.6k, 38.4k, etc. are supported.
There are 3rd party converters that go from RS-232 to RS-422, or you can use a RS-485 (which covers RS-422) interface from National Instruments. We offer AT, PCI, PXI, USB, Ethernet, and PCMCIA versions.
