I would try using a program such as winbench (search Google for "winbench") to estimate the throughput. I ran the program on an 8176 we have here and achieved a throughput of about 15MB/s. I have attached a screenshot of the results.
Keep in mind that this is not a guarantee that you will achieve these rates with streaming to disk. There are many other factors that come into account when you are doing this such as other PCI devices sharing bandwidth, other programs, contiguous space on your hard drive, etc.
