Where did the ExprescardMXI laptop compatibility list for 1033 and 8360 go?

I have been searching the compatibility list but keep running in circles, just end up with a generic page: "Tips to Help You Successfully Use NI MXI-Express Controllers". It just gives generic advice: "Before using MXI-Express products with Dell or other name brand computers, make sure that the BIOS is updated to the current version to benefit from the latest BIOS improvements."

How can I make sure?

Is there an explicit list of compatible notebook modes?

Can I assume that newly launched (nov 09) Dell notebook models with an ExpressCard slot will work with 1033 and 8360?

Thanks

Hi Janaf

I found an old link on an internal page to the Tested Laptops page, but it forwarded to the page you mentioned. Looks like this is the current info that replaced the old list.

From the text on that page, which you are quoting, I would assume the same thing as you. We do have close cooperation with Dell and we routinely test their computers, but I have no direct knowledge if we have tested the exact models you are looking at.

Best Regards

Thanks for the reply Davidek!

It would be good to have a more firm statement on this from someone involved in the ExprescardMXI for the future. Its not a comfortable situation to buy notebooks on trial and error basis.

I will get a Dell Studio 15 unless someone advises against. And I will post here if it works. Or notSmiley Indifferent
