can we connect NI PXI 6221 mutli function daq card to ni elvis for digital I/O

sir ,

i have connected ni pxi 6221 mutli function daq card to the ni elvis for digital I/O , i have connected the dgital output lines 0-7 to the digital input 0-7. its working with the ni elvis software digital reader and writer , but with the daqmx i am not able to write or read the correct values . please tell me the internal Digital channel connections or the port connections .i.e P0 ,PFI 0-15 (P1,P2) to the ni elvis.

Hello-

You can use the NI ELVIS DIO lines with NI-DAQmx by bypassing the NI ELVIS DIO functionality.  One method of achieving this is shown in this example program. 

Once you follow the steps in the VI prior to the NI-DAQmx programming, you can program for DIO using NI-DAQmx however you like.  This example shows how to use the correlated digital I/O functionality of your M Series card.

Hi,

I tried unsuccessfully to click on your example program that you were kind enough to make available to the other contributor who was using ELVIS. What I got was a "page not found". Do you think you could make this same program available after all those years (more than eight). My problem is not with a PXI-6221, but with the I/O connector of a NI PXI-7344.

Maybe I could find some inspiration in your program.
