hsdio vi broken

I have recieved the instructions and attemped to total remove NI products from my computer. I have the folling exceptions /questions

I cannot delete to following files in the c:\program files\national nstruments\shared\Security\ folder:

nidm_client_thinauth.dll

nidmsrv

What sould I do with the microsoft silverlight stuff that was originally added by the ni software?

What should I do with the ni items found in the registry in the MRU subfolders?

I am waiting for your responce before I try to install the program again.

The 1st product that I want to install is 2010 NI developer suite...without CVI components

Are all components of 2010 compatable with windows xp 32, w/SP3?

Yes, all components of 2010 are compatible with WinXP 32-bit.

What step were you at when you received the messages that you cannot delete those files?  Are you admin on the machine?  Can you delete them in safe mode?  Do you need any additional utilities that are mentioned by the procedure?

I was in the step that said to delete all the items in the national instruments folder..the files seems to be protected some how eventhough the files attribues don't indicate so

I may need some addtional tool to clean those files out...no trace of the files in the registry

Is it possible that you don't have adiministrative priveleges and that's why you aren't allowed to delete these files?

When you run the executable I attached, are any NI products showing up?

Hi,

What are you trying to reinstall when the errors popup?  What do the errors say?  If you have screenshots, those might be helpful.

At this point, it seems like whatever is causing this behavior may be buried pretty deep.  Is a reformat a possiblity?
