pci simple communications controller

Hi,

  I have a PXI 1006 chassis which is connect with 8360 and 8361, all drivers have been installed. but it could be a little strange, "NI MXI Devices" didn't appear as it should be, but a fault named "PCI Simple communications controller" appeared. I also have a 8420 serial card inside PXI chassis, but it can't be read as well. could someone help? many thanks!!!!

Hi Little-Bob,

I just wanted to ask a few questions to clarify your set-up. You listed that you are using a 8360 and a 8361. These are two different MXI Controller cards for PXI. What PXI card are you using and what PCI/PCIe card are you using?

What version of the PXI Platform Services do you have installed?

What version of NI DAQmx do you have installed?

From your screenshot I can see that you are probably using Windows XP, but what computer model are you using?
