re-partitioning hard disk

I have a PXI-8106 Controller RT/WinXP that came with  32 GB of hard disk space on the RT side and 250 GB on the WinXP side.  Is there a nice way to re-partition the hard disk so the RT side has the larger space?

Hi Faustina,

The following KnowledgeBase article talks about supported methods for creating a dual boot system:

Dual-Booting Windows XP and LabVIEW RT on a PXI Controller

In order to change the partition without 3rd party software it seems that you will have to format and reinstall both sides of the hard drive. The KB does mention 3rd party software like partition magic, may be able to help you change the partition with out reinstalling.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks

Hello,

I thought I would post a suggestion for anyone  looking at this thread. Although it is not an NI-supported product and you may encounter problems, I have used a free version of EASEUS Partition Manager in the past successfully to resize partitions on a dual-boot PXI controller. The other solution, of course, is to use FDISK to repartition your drive -- but that would require a reformat and take much more time.
