the PXI-4351 current supply is being damage, is there a way to protect it?

The PXI-4351 1 mA power supply is being damage. We had six cards that went bad in the last month. We test large generators, so we are always connecting and disconnecting the PXI-4351 RTD hook up to the generator being tested. It may be from ESD. Is there a way to protect the power supply?

We worked with 4351 and RTD (PT-100) and we have the same problem: the 1mA source of three cards was damage (two in the last month). But we didn´t disconnect any RTD. After the first damage, we was disconnect the current source channel from the sensorafter use, but the problem happened again, with open channel.

Hi Eliziane,

We are interested in hearing more about your 4351 situation.  Can you please tell us about your application and how you are using the card?  Are there any high voltages in or near your system?  You mentioned that you have experienced three failures; did you send anything in for repair at any time?  If so, could you give us the serial number and part number of the device?

Thank you,
