Abstract: With the proliferation of MIMO technologies as well as higher channel counts and more sources of impairments, software-defined channel simulation gives product teams a comprehensive, accurate validation tool. By combining LabVIEW FPGA software with reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware, Averna has developed an extensive and flexible abstraction layer for general-purpose channel emulation applications.
