Abstract: What do you get when you cross a team of mechanical engineers with LabVIEW software and CompactRIO hardware? Automation made simple. At this session, explore the benefits of remote connectivity to deployed systems including reduced downtime, expedited troubleshooting, remote operator training, improved system maintenance, and remote updates. Also learn about the design of the FireFly ProSlab 155 automatic turf harvesting machine and review LabVIEW techniques, including advanced SoftMotion concepts, that are used to control and synchronize many different parallel operations within the harvester. Lastly, examine how numerous complex technologies can be combined and integrated into a complete system to offer substantial benefits to nontechnical end users.
