Abstract: Explore two case studies on wide area monitoring systems (WAMSs) delivered to a Czech transmission system operator and a Slovak transmission system operator. Discover why particular architectures were chosen for this solution and see how the WAMS could be combined with a power quality measurement system. Also learn how to build measurement instruments for smart grids using NI reconfigurable I/O hardware and the LabVIEW graphical programming environment.
