FPGAs for Real-Time Control of Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics Experiments

ID: TS2882

Abstract: The control of quantum optics experiments requires the generation of precisely timed computer-controlled measurement sequences. These requirements can be met using programmable hardware in conjunction with a real-time OS. At this session, learn how an experimental control system has been implemented that combines the controller, FPGAs, DAQ cards, and quantum optics analysis tools on a single platform. Also explore how FPGAs can be used to simulate quantum optics problems.
