Abstract: Medical research requires several experts to manually run thousands of screens and experiments for pharmaceutical tests, which limits mass availability and reproducibility. Join Dr. Urban Liebel as he discusses how industrial automation technologies are being adapted for robotic microscope platforms to automate large-scale in vivo experiments and how social machine technologies are changing the way the massive amount of generated data is stored and analyzed. These automation and imaging developments inspire new insight into behavioral studies and help answer complex physiological questions while reducing the development costs of new pharmaceutical drugs.
