Abstract: With the substantial growth of solar photovoltaic installations worldwide, forecasting irradiance is critical. In Singapore, 25 stations located strategically across the island provide meteorological parameters that are transmitted every second to SERIS’ central monitoring system. Irradiance readings are aggregated and displayed as an interpolated map of the country’s solar resources. Remote stations are designed with CompactRIO and C Series hardware. Data collection, processing, distribution, and maintenance are written in LabVIEW. The live irradiance map, which is updated every minute, is available to the public at solar-repository.sg. This session is a continuation of SERIS’ 2012 NIWeek keynote speech.
