Maximizing ATE Hardware Abstraction With TestStand

ID: TS7757

Abstract: If you maintain multiple test systems, develop test sequences for a wide range of products, or deal with the hassles of instrumentation or platform changes, implementing a hardware abstraction layer (HAL) can save you time, money, and frustration by reducing the impact of hardware changes, maximizing code reuse, and minimizing development effort. This session dives deeply into the concepts and benefits of hardware abstraction and uses TestStand to identify and demonstrate the major components of a HAL through real-world examples to help you maintain ATE for years to come.

Speakers:

Grant Gothing, Bloomy Controls, Turnkey Systems Manager

Hector Emilio Guajardo, Bloomy Controls, Senior Project Engineer
