Abstract: Hear how ELSTAR developed its model-based, rotor-balancing CABSTAR software system to perform condition monitoring in power plants. Measurements taken using trial weights during run up and run down reduced the time needed to balance the rotor in situ. This required using distributed multiprocess DAQ systems that apply different methods to multiple measurement types.
