Abstract: Envelope tracking (ET) provides the potential for achieving high efficiency in power amplifiers for next-generation wireless transmitters. Explore the development of various ET amplifiers and their requirements for applications in base station and handset PAs. Then discuss digital predistortion techniques to compensate for any system nonlinearity. Lastly, examine an implementation for a hardware-in-the-loop envelope tracking test bed using NI solutions.
