LabVIEW on the Moon

Track/Summit: Embedded Systems

Session ID#: TS2150

Abstract: Carnegie Mellon researchers have developed software using LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA to find water on the Moon and pioneer the methods that will allow human colonies to survive and thrive in space. Learn how Carnegie Mellon is achieving the first autonomous soft-landing in space in 2015 with hundred-fold acceleration of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms implemented on radiation-hardened FPGAs.
