Abstract: The best way to begin object-oriented programming is to start by implementing a small piece of an application as a learning exercise. At this session, focus on three basic places where you can work object-oriented techniques into a new (or existing) application without disrupting the development process as a whole. These examples include an interface for interacting with data in either a database or a text file, an object-oriented state machine, and an object-oriented graphics engine for LabVIEW 2D picture control.
